I found this quirky little park and booked mainly because it was the closest campground to the West entrance of Yellowstone. And although it didn’t have the normal amenities we look for in a park, it had its own cute pros.

So, let’s get started:

PROS:

  • Walk right into the downtown area of West Yellowstone! Other than to get groceries, we walked everywhere pretty much here from the campground.
  • With your check in you get several freebies: $20 gift certificate to spend at the IMAX theater/gift shop, tokens for free ice cream, + a free hand sani.
  • Just a minute or two from the West entrance! Full hookups, too.

CONS:

  • No pool, fenced dog park, etc.
  • A drive through camp office…?
  • Just in general not much interesting to do AT the campground.

We appreciated this spot for its quirks and convenience, so pay it a visit if you are headed to West Yellowstone! 🙂
